"One of the two competitions in the August Festival Racecard will offer visitors to Bellewstown a chance to win walk on parts for two people in RTE's Fair City this Autumn. The winners will appear in scenes that take place on the street or in the pub or bistro or sandwich bar.
The prize was purchased by Edmund McAuley of Bellewstown Race Committee at last week's very successful fundraiser hosted by Christine Moore of C&M Construction. Edmund told us "One of our loyal supporters at Bellewstown Christine Moore of C&M Construction holds a gala annual fundraiser in August for one of many deserving charities. On this occasion she was fundraising for the National Council for the Blind and we were delighted to support her efforts. We selected this prize from the auction as we thought some of the racegoers at Bellewstown might think it a fun opportunity to see what happens in a TV studio. "
Alan Delany of Bellewstown Race Committee continued "It is always a novelty to see how a TV show is produced. The winner of the prize will get a chance to be part of the community in Carrickstown and through the magic of television will appear in a couple of episodes as a result of this one days filming. For a chance to win this part visit Bellewstown Races on Wednesday 27th August and take part in the free racecard competition. For more information about racing at Bellewstown visit www.bellewstownraces.ie" and Alan concluded "The weather forecast is for clear skies and sunshine, the course is in great condition and we promise a great evenings racing for all at Bellewstown. See you on the Hill."
