Bellewstown Races - The Best Line Up Yet!
Thursday evening is specially for families with a mobile farm topping the bill. Children can visit the farm with a range of animals to see at close quarters and pet them. Face painting, balloons, jugglers, cartoon characters and stilt walkers will provide a range of entertainment for children. A great colouring competition will also offer children a chance to win great prizes. Children under 14 have free admission to Bellewstown everyday once accompanied by an adult but in particular Thursday promises to be a great day for kids.
Friday will feature the Gala Best Dressed Competition sponsored by Yasmins of Drogheda and Malahide and Chris Curtis Menswear. Judged by former Miss Ireland and TV3 presenter Anne-Marie Gannon Friday promises to be a pinnacle of style in the July Festival. Entrants to the competition are invited to meet the judges and have a glass of bubbly whilst the judging goes on. Friday also see the re-introduction of strawberries and cream to Bellewstown so racegoers can enjoy a taste of summer whilst they watching the racing action. The feature race on Friday is sponsored by Kilsaran Concrete.
Super Saturday will bring the Saturday evening race back to Bellewstown with a real bang. Drogheda's legendary brass band will provide the entertainment whilst guests dine on summer strawberries. The feature race on this day is sponsored by Drogheda's d Hotel. Grand National winner "Silver Birch" will also be a visitor to Bellewstown for Super Saturday. Guest sports personalities also roaming around to meet racegoers. The racecard competition will offer guests a chance to win a weekend for 2 at any of the Brennan Hotels around Ireland.
